The
Cromer Smugglers

Formed in 1993 by lifeboat mechanic Paul Wegg, with the aim of raising money for charity and local worthy causes and to generate a feeling of goodwill within the community. The Cromer Smugglers have already raised well in excess of £325,000. Their greatest achievement by far is the purchase of an inshore lifeboat for the RNLI. The boat is in service at Tynemouth and is called 'The Cromer Smuggler'
